Pierre Tobgui Wins MMA Debut in First Round!

Posted on:

Standout Modern Martial Arts and Fitness competitor Pierre Tobgui was successful in his long-awaited MMA debut last weekend, earning a first-round submission victory over a tough opponent at SSP Fight Night 67 in Commerce, California.

From the opening bell, Pierre was on the offensive, working behind his jab before changing levels for a strong double leg takedown against the fence. On the ground, Pierre transitioned through various control positions, which he used to attack with strikes and submissions. After nearly finishing the fight with both a rear naked strangle and a triangle, Pierre eventually secured an armbar submission hold at 1:39 of the first round, marking a successful cap to his MMA debut and moving his official MMA record to 1-0.

The MOD team would like to congratulate Pierre on his well-deserved victory, as well as all of the victories he’s enjoyed since joining our team in 2021. We thank Pierre for always representing our team with respect and professionalism, and we look forward to all of his combat sports accomplishments to come. Our team would also like to thank Pierre’s opponent and his team for providing such a tough challenge and congratulate both fighters on testing themselves in MMA competition.
