Private Training
Private training at Modern Martial Arts and Fitness affords students the opportunity to train one-on-one with a dedicated coach, rather than in a group setting.
The purpose of private training is for students to receive personally-tailored instruction on how they can improve their skills, although it may also be used for prospective students to gain familiarity with a martial art before beginning group training.
We are proud to offer private training for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Consistent with our group classes, private training will typically feature a brief aerobic warm-up where you will prepare your body for exercise while simultaneously becoming familiarized with many of the essential movements performed in a given martial art. This warm-up will be followed by a demonstration of several techniques, which will then be practiced by the student. Finally, the last portion of class may allow for the testing of techniques in live sparring, although this is not always the case. Live sparring is never required, and students may choose to use this time to continue practicing techniques with their partner, if they so choose.
Please note that we ask students to bring a training partner with them for the purpose of demonstration and sparring.
